Beijing Women’s Conference Follow Up
ERVK continues to collaborate with, and support the Women’s Action Coalition. This women’s network aims to advance a local agenda dedicated to the goals of the Beijing Women’s Conference from September 1995.
The goals of the conference coincide with ideologies of Eleanor Roosevelt. Some of these goals include, improvement in the treatment of women in, healthcare, education, and economics. The conference also stressed a heightened awareness of human rights issues against women.
The Women’s Action Coalition has held a series of subject-specific meetings to promote this agenda.
