Funding and Support


The Eleanor Roosevelt Girls' Leadship Workshop is funded completely by foundations, businesses, and individuals that are committed to the advancement of women. The Girls' Leadership Workshop is provided at a nominal cost to the participants. Girls are asked only to pay a $100 registration fee and provide their own travel expenses. However, upon request, GLW will provide assistance to those girls and families having difficulties with these requirements. Cost is never an impediment to participation.

The Dyson Foundation, based in Dutchess County, New York, specifically funds the girls program from the Hudson Valley region and supports our, "Girls as Local Leaders" programs which provides seed money to GLW alumnae for community or school service projects and conference participation.

The Partners of the Americas, Washington D.C. helps to fund the participation of two girls from the island of Dominca. This gives an important international aspect to GLW, which we hope to expand.
